Jack
Williamson
Jack became a divorce
statistic and a single parent after nearly 25 years of
marriage. Though he has a doctoral degree in marriage and
family counseling and over 28 years of experience as a
clergyman helping others navigate through the murky waters
of breakup, he couldn’t find the resources he personally
needed and wanted when he found himself newly divorced.
That frustration led him to
the idea to write a book – a divorce solution, for the
specific issues and questions that men face, often alone, in
the breakup and divorce experience.
The Change Cycle model was
the perfect road map to describe the experience of divorce
and prescribe the ways for men to get from bitter to better!
As a consultant, speaker
and trainer, Jack brings a wealth of academic, theological
and practical experience, as well as an engaging and
contagious interpersonal dynamic to his presentations,
workshops and organizational consultations. He is an avid
storyteller and has a warm and gracious style.
Jack retired from the Air
Force in 1998 as an Air Force Chaplain, in the grade of
Colonel. Currently, he is the Executive Director of The
National Conference on Ministry to the Armed Forces, a
unique association of over 250 religious denominations and
faith groups representing all chaplains in the Department of
Defense and the Veterans Administration. In this position he
is responsible for serving as a liaison between the American
religious community and the Department of Defense as well as
to the Veterans Administration. In this role he acts
primarily as a facilitator for understanding and cooperative
ministry among religious leaders from diverse faith
orientations.
He is a nationally known
business consultant, educator, clinician, and policy advisor
specializing in personal and organizational development,
change management, creative business practices, group
dynamics, inter-personal communications, and crisis
intervention. He is a certified and experienced trainer and
workshop leader with Interpersonal Communication Programs,
Inc. and The Change Cycle Series™.
Jack holds a master’s degree in pastoral theology, a
doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a
post-doctoral training certification from Georgetown
